I always hated these lyrics except for the ones on "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and "She Belongs to Me"(they're quite brilliant) and some scattered lines here and there that are quite brilliant. And he's very lucky the Byrds made the not-so-brilliant "Mr. Tambourine Man" a hit.

7. Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited [1965, Columbia]
This music is a lot better than the overrated Bringing It All Back Home, but still these lyrics are constant turn-offs. Technically, I should be excited over rowdy songs like "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry" or "From a Buick 6". But I don't, because I can't. Therein lies the difference between me and other very smart people who love this record, and I do respect them; the band really is a good one after all.
